Getting Involved with Our Congregational Care Committee
If you are interested in serving as a Chair or team member of this committee, please contact any member of the UUFD Board.
The Congregational Care Committee engages in the following activities:
- Coordinates with or sometimes fills in for the Minister in responding to member needs when illness or crises occur.
- Reaches out to and support homebound and transportationally challenged members.
- Initiates and coordinates support groups and social events for members, such as group dinners.
- Encourages and supports volunteerism throughout the congregation, including organizing coffee hour volunteers, greeters, and office volunteers.
- Provides and maintains nametags.
- Submits proposals as needed to the Board of Trustees.
