A popular community event, the UU February Winter Markets are the perfect time to take care of your Valentine’s Day, early Easter, or just-for-the-fun-of-it shopping while also providing a great opportunity to support farmers and artisans in our local community. These markets feature humanely-raised, hormone-free pork, poultry, lamb, grass-fed beef, and organic eggs, sausage, and cheese from the Hasselmann Family Farm in Marengo, honey from additional local farms, and a large variety of artisan craftware created by local vendors. There are baked goods, hearty lunch soup, and many other delicious food items to choose from.  There is a commons area set up for people to gather for soup, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and soda and converse with their friends. The markets also include UUCD's popular used book sale in the UUCD library. In addition to all of the vendor activity there is live music by local musicans throughout the day. There is a $1 admission fee per adult; children are free.
