Holding Sanctuary Discussion Group

New Year & New Format!!

 Now that the Holding Sanctuary Discussion Group has completed our chapter by chapter reading of Tim Snyder's On Tyranny, we are pleased to announce that we are changing our format!! Instead of picking a whole book, group members will read and discuss a new online article that is chosen for each meeting. 

The aim in making this shift is to honor the group's original goal of linking current events and social trends to our personal experiences and UU values while also expanding the subjects and sources that inform our discussions. Group members will take turns being a meeting leader, signing up in advance to pick out an article, send it to the group, and prepare a few questions as a jumping off point for discussion. Our only requirement is that the article stick to our theme and not cost any money to download. We also ask that new members attend one or more sessions before volunteering to lead a session. 

Each meeting will be unique, so new members can check us out at any time without having to have participated in previous meetings.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 8pm in the Sanctuary.
